Genomic Policy Roundtable Series

In October, Associate Professor Ilias Goranitis participated in the Policy Round Table Series organized by Rare Cancers Australia and Australian Genomics. This series, held across three cities—Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney—examined the challenges and opportunities in implementing genomics-led cancer care for individuals diagnosed with rare, less common, and complex cancers. Over 120 participants, including patients, clinicians, researchers, industry leaders, and representatives from State and Federal Governments, engaged in the discussions. At the Melbourne session, Ilias delivered a presentation on "The Economics of Genomics."
