Biography

Vinh Anh Huynh is a PhD candidate in Health Economics at the University of Melbourne, based in the Economics of Genomics and Precision Medicine Unit. His PhD focuses on generating evidence to support the implementation of polygenic risk scores (PRS) in routine clinical care for personalised breast and ovarian cancer prevention. His research examines how consumer preferences can inform targeted implementation strategies and enhance the uptake of PRS-guided cancer screening programmes and the economic evaluation of these strategies.

Vinh holds a Master of Public Health and a Bachelor of Economics with Honours. His research experience spans palliative care, healthcare systems and services, and a range of health economics and outcomes research methods, including discrete choice experiments, economic evaluation, disease burden studies, and digital health interventions.

He is passionate about applying an interdisciplinary approach to health economics and translating innovative healthcare technologies into routine practice to improve population health.
