Feeling safe in your space

I have felt unsafe in crisis accommodation. There was a threat of violence at the motel I was supposed to stay at. I walked into a very scary and confronting situation. I felt safer leaving and not knowing where I was staying for the night, than being around hostile people.

Sometimes the actions of those in our shared crisis accommodation or neighbours in a hotel room make you feel unsafe.

It’s so important to feel safe in your home, especially crisis accom. Who knows what someone has been through.
