Researcher note:

For Frankie, the safety provided by a bedroom was a new but long-awaited experience for which he had waited since he was about five years old. At this age, Child Protection Services had placed him with extended family where he slept on the couch. Frankie chose to share this picture of his bed (above) as a way to illustrate his first experience of a stable and personal space; part of the safer future living with his mother he had waited for until legal adulthood brought it within reach.
