You're just like constantly trying to climb these steps to get to safety, which is like housing and stability, but you're just this tiny little person… it's just impossible, honestly, you just keep walking and walking, walking

.…technically there is stuff there that's supporting you to get there, but it's not very good and it doesn't really help you. ...[My] last experience [in 2024], it was like pushing …almost a year …and then in the end we couldn't get anything [from domestic and family violence services].

And so I'd have to go back to the domestic and family violence situation. …it just didn't matter …it didn’t matter how much we went the right way. We did the right thing. We contacted all the services. We did all of the things that were, you know, were expected of us as people who were experiencing, like homelessness from domestic and family violence. But the system just didn't. It couldn't and didn't help us.
