Health economics short course in Nanjing China

“Introduction to Health Economic Evaluation and Practical Methods”, Nanjing Medical University (NMU), China

Melbourne Health Economics group head Prof Kim Dalziel was invited by Nanjing Medical University (NMU), China to deliver a 7-day short course “Introduction to Health Economic Evaluation and Practical Methods” during 8-17th July 2024, along with Dr Li Huang. The course was supported by the International Office of the NMU, operating 11 international courses in July this year at the NMU.

The 7-day Health Economics short course was jointly coordinated by A/Prof Xuanxuan Wang from the School of Health Policy & Management, NMU, and Dr Tianxin Pan at the Melbourne Health Economics Group. Kim and Li were warmly welcomed by the Dean of the School Prof Dongfu Qian, and Prof Mingsheng Chen and A/Prof Shaofan Chen. It was an extremely positive experience spending 7 days teaching and learning with the Chinese masters students, in the wonderful city Nanjing. The participating students enjoyed discussing relevant papers by their own researchers at NMU and praised the course highly.
