PhD Title:
Exploring the experience of workplace learning in genomic medicine in Victoria, Australia
Abstract:
The relevance and application of genomic medicine has diffused beyond the practice of the traditional genetic medical workforce. Despite this, the consensus from the literature is that non-geneticist medical specialists report a lack of competence and confidence in utilising genomics. Recent research has indicated that workplace learning is an effective and pragmatic way to learn. However, no study has yet been conducted to explore this phenomenon. My research aims to address this gap by investigating the experience of workplace learning in genomic medicine.
