The mental toll of extreme disasters
Research fellow and Beyond Disasters member Dr Claire Leppold met with ABC Radio National to discuss the devastation from unprecedented flooding in NSW and QLD. She was joined by the NSW Mental Health Commissioner, Catherine Lourey to focus on research that looks at the impacts multiple extreme events have on the emotional wellbeing of individuals and resilience of communities.
