Taking CDTH’s flagship digital health equity workshop to the University of Oxford

Centre for Digital Transformation of Health’s (CDTH) Dr Kara Burns and Dr Mahima Kalla will be presenting a two-day Making Digital Health Equity a Practical Reality workshop at University of Oxford in April.
The workshop came about through Dr Kalla’s Dyson Fellowship, awarded in 2023, and CDTH Collective Impact Incubator workstream’s (CII) mission to promote digital health equity across Victoria, Australia and across the globe. CDTH has partnered with Cogniss, who will be providing their no-code health app building platform for this workshop.
During the two days, the workshop will comprise of a series of curated activities, drawing inter-disciplinary theory-driven and applied knowledge from domains such as health sociology and design among others. University of Oxford students undergoing their MSc. in Applied Digital Health will learn how to consider equity when designing digital health solutions. They will then have the opportunity to create high fidelity prototypes of their equitable digital health solutions via the no-code app development platform, Cogniss.
The workshop will build on many other CDTH’s digital health equity initiatives including a scoping review of tools and approaches when designing with priority populations, and a digital health equity seminar series attended by 140 people from across 9 countries.
