Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a highly prevalent respiratory sleep disease that causes partial or complete obstruction of breathing during sleep. Exploring longitudinal risk factors for OSA provides evidence to understand the incidence and progression of this disease, in support of OSA prevention. Yaoyao's doctoral work will utilise Tasmanian Longitudinal Health Study (TAHS) to establish life-time BMI trajectories, smoking trajectories and asthma allergy trajectories and to explore their longitudinal effect on OSA among the general population of adults.
