My PhD aims to contribute to future pandemic policy making, by theorising and demonstrating the utility of economic modelling that is integrated into dynamic epidemiological models of pandemic policy response options. An exemplar evaluation will be conducted, exploring the optimal mix of public health and social measures during a hypothetical ‘Disease X’ pandemic scenario.
