Congratulations to PhD student Parinaz Mehdipour who won the International Conference on Plasmodium Vivax Research 2022 Student Prize for Greatest Potential for Future Impact for her presentation on Bayesian Within-host Modelling of Red Blood Cell Dynamics and Primaquine-induced Haemolysis in G6PD Deficiency. This impactful research has determined safe primaquine dosing regimens for G6PD deficient individuals who are at risk of haemolysis following treatment of vivax malaria.
