Health systems strengthening - global learning program

Project Details

Nossal has been engaged by UNICEF to develop and deliver a learning program to improve UNICEF’s capacity in Health Systems Strengthening (HSS). The program emphasises HSS knowledge and practical skills and aims to provide a solid foundation for improvements to health systems in countries where UNICEF work.

Designed for both UNICEF staff and partner staff from governments and other health agencies, the program comprises of twelve weeks of e-learning followed by a two-week face-to-face workshop. It aims to improve the capacity and knowledge of UNICEF and other staff in the area of HSS and to provide a solid foundation for improvements to health systems. The program was rolled out to more than 200 participants between August 2016 and mid-2018.

To extend the reach of Nossal’s expertise, the Institute is developing a specialized Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) in HSS that will be made available to development partners, government counterparts and the public from 2019.
