Stigma, COVID-19 and disability: stories of impact and resilience
Project Details
People with disabilities face higher levels of poverty and barriers to accessing services and are likely to also be disproportionately affected by COVID-19. Sharing lived experiences gives planners and policy makers valuable insights into the needs of those impacted by their decisions.
This project is building the capacity of Organisations of People with Disability (OPDs) to produce evidence-based advocacy products. We will partner with three OPDs in the Asia Pacific to generate evidence in the experiences of people with a disability. We will provide training to their staff in conducting qualitative research using narrative techniques and support the production of a series of short stories for use in advocacy.
