Aims:

This project aimed to identify spatial design factors that influence informal interprofessional team-based communication within hospital emergency departments

Key Expertise Provided:

  • Bridging gap between research and practice: literature review of the influence of spatial design and health workforce practices
  • Evidence informed practice: conducting research to building the evidence about what influence spatial design has on staff team communication
  • Research Translation: Working with International Design forms and hospitals to utilise evidence into practice
