The modelling work released on the 16 April 2020 by the Commonwealth Government, estimates the symptomatic case detection rate and temporal variation in transmission of COVID-19 in Australia. Dr David Price and Dr Freya Shearer from Centre for Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Biostatistics Unit and Modelling and Simulation Unit, were two members of the team of collaborating researchers from Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia who worked on this technical modelling report.
