Gabriele Marini

Gabriele is a PhD Candidate in Computing and Information System at the Interaction Design Lab. He completed his MSc in Computer Science at the University of Pisa, Italy. After briefly working for the European Central Bank in Germany he moved to Melbourne to start his PhD. His research project focuses on sensing, IoT and data analysis and how these technologies can help hospitals in monitoring their flow of people and improve the general efficiency by reducing unnecessary movements and costs. Besides his research, Gabriele is always keen on exploring other aspects of technology, from VR and Computer Graphics to mobile programming, compilers, programming languages and embedded systems.
