Evaluating trachoma health promotion

An evaluation of trachoma health promotion activities has commenced in March 2024 and IEHU is currently recruiting a panel of experts to contribute to this evaluation.

A Delphi study methodology will be used to help identify the effective health promotion resources and activities used in trachoma elimination efforts over the past decade and also to help determine the recommended approaches for the period of trachoma health promotion post elimination.

An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Reference Group has been established to support the project and an Aboriginal consulting agency Nama Jalu has been engaged to provide external evaluation expertise.

Information about the trachoma elimination health promotion evaluation can be found here in the projects section of the IEHU website.

All enquiries should be directed to Emma Stanford at esta@unimelb.edu.au
