Tianxin Pan

PhD Candidate

Tianxin is researching the impact of non-communicable diseases on household economies in China. More broadly, her research interests include health economics, health promotion, health systems and international health cooperation.

She hopes her work will provide empirical evidence on the economic consequences of NCDs and will promote better awareness and actions among decision makers. NCDs have a significant burden on households and Tianxin says preventing more deaths from these diseases needs improvements in equitable and sustainable health service delivery and health financing systems, and stronger health promotion.

Tianxin has been at the Nossal Institute since 2015.

The thought of cycling to the Nossal to work with experts who have rich, real-world experiences gets Tianxin up and out of bed each day.
