Dr Kate Gomersall

Research Fellow

Kate finished her PhD in human geography at the University of Melbourne in 2017. The research examined participatory processes of decision making and outcomes of a Poverty Alleviation Resettlement project in rural China. Since then Kate has worked on two ACIAR funded development projects: the first undertaking a gendered impact assessment of a dairy extension service in Pakistan and the second (current) researching the gendered dimensions of livestock livelihoods in the central dry zone of Myanmar. Kate oversees Angus Campbell's work in Myanmar as the livestock project manager and social researcher. Kate is a geographer by training and has worked in China and Pakistan, as well as Myanmar
