Education and Learning Program Administrator

While James is based at the Nossal Institute he is also Program Manager for Global Health Alliance Melbourne and Grants Officer for Living Positive Victoria. He has previously worked with the Institute for Social Development Studies in Hanoi on a Global Fund HIV prevention project with men who have sex with men, sex workers and people who inject drugs.

James joined the Nossal in 2016 after completing a Master of Public Health at the University of Melbourne where he specialised in global health and health program evaluation. James also has a Bachelor of International Relations (Hon) and a Diploma of Modern Languages (Spanish) from La Trobe University.

Working in education and learning at the Nossal Institute means he plays a role in educating the next generation of public health professionals, giving him a glimpse into the future impact they will have on the world. His personal goal is to contribute to improving health systems that provide accessible, appropriate and quality health services to sexual and gender diverse populations.

James begins most mornings by going to the gym which gives him energy for the rest of the day.
