Dr Wesley Pryor
Senior Technical Advisor
Working with people in the disability and health-related rehabilitation fields is a vital element of Wesley’s role at the Nossal Institute. He joined the Institute in 2015 from Handicap International Federation. Prior to that he was at La Trobe University.
While at La Trobe, Wesley began collaborating with Handicap International and partner organisations in India and Iraq to improve the quality of rehabilitation services programming. Between 2008 and 2015, he was Principal regional advisor in rehabilitation for Handicap International Federation. He had a portfolio of 15 projects in ten countries including India, Thailand and Sri Lanka.
Disability inclusion in development and rehabilitation in health systems have undergone rapid changes, and Wesley says it has been rewarding to have been part of those changes. A highlight of his position at the Nossal is working with, and learning from, communities and helping stakeholders strengthen rehabilitation services in health systems.
