Teralynn holds a Master of Public Health in health promotion, University of Alberta, Canada and a Master’s of Arts in International Affairs, Carlton University, Canada.

Teralynn's thesis project: “Understanding the roles of community health workers in urban, LMIC settings” is focused on understanding what roles CHWs could play in the context of an urbanizing LMIC landscape and how CHW programs might be structured to operate more effectively and responsively in urban contexts. Her research research reviews existing evidence on urban-based community health worker programs and examines a newly piloted model in Ethiopia where community health workers are integrated into outreach teams with other clinicians.
