Thesis title

Beliefs, understanding and access to male family planning methods in Timor-Leste

Description of PhD Project

Male engagement is essential to improving the sexual and reproductive health (SRH) of all people. This includes the availability and uptake of male family planning services. Despite remarkable progress, Timor-Leste has some of the most critical SRH challenges in the Asia-Pacific region. Limited information is available about male family planning and service uptake is low. Participatory, qualitative research is being conducted about access to male family planning methods in Timor-Leste, from both a community and health provider perspective. The aim is to inform policy and programmatic decision-making.
