Gemma Tarpey-Brown is an early career researcher with a strong commitment to health and social equity. Her research focusses on the multifarious health impacts associated with forced migration and gender-based violence.

She has recently completed a Master of Public Health and is interested in developing innovative, evidence-based interventions for the primary prevention of violence against women. Gemma has a background in migration support, having worked with various national and international agencies to provide trauma-informed assistance to migrant survivors of family violence, human trafficking and individuals held in mandatory immigration detention on and offshore.
