Health Economics Unit Contributes to Prostheses Benefit Setting Framework

The Health Economics Unit of the University of Melbourne was appointed by the Department of Health to research and consult on benefit and pricing models for medical devices and prostheses. Our research will be used to inform and support the development of frameworks and pricing models for the Prostheses List Advisory Committee (PLAC). Our consultation report is now available online.

The research team is led by Professor Philip Clarke and members of the team include Dr Kim Dalziel and Michelle Tew. Two highly experienced consultants, Professor Paula Lorgelly and Mr Alan Stevens, also provided input into the report.
