Data Linkage for Health and Medical Research: Reaching the Promised Land

The University of Melbourne is hosting a half‐day workshop to highlight how routinely collected data can be used to address policy‐relevant questions. Administrative data are rich sources of information that can be leveraged to inform health policy. Victoria holds several high‐quality datasets and is starting to explore the potential of data linkage.

This workshop will demonstrate how work led by university researchers has resulted in changes in health policy in other parts of Australia, and provide a forum for data custodians and academics to engage in a meaningful discussion around how this can be applied in the Victorian context.
