Justice Health Unit presents at IAAH World Congress

Members of the Justice Health Unit presented at the 12th IAAH World Congress on Adolescent Health (IAAH 2021-Lima, Peru), held virtually from 18-21 November 2021. The theme of the congress, hosted by the International Association for Adolescent Health (IAAH), in partnership with the Peruvian Society for Adolescence and Youth (SPAJ), was Meeting the Challenge of Global Change.

Justice Health Unit Head, Prof Stuart Kinner, A/ Prof Rohan Borschmann and Lindsay Pearce were part of a leading international team who delivered the workshop The health of adolescents in contact with the criminal justice system: A neglected public health priority.

Rohan also presented on Suicide in young people after contact with the youth justice system: A 22-year retrospective data linkage study and Justice Health Unit PhD candidate, Melissa Willoughby, presented her research on Preventing violence-related deaths among young people exposed to the youth justice system.
