Justice Health Unit presents at 2022 Emergency Care Research Symposium

Prof Stuart Kinner, Head of the Justice Health Unit (JHU) and Dr Jesse Young, NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow and Senior Research Fellow, presented at the 2022 Emergency Care Research Symposium, held on the Gold Coast on 11 and 12 August 2022.

The Symposium, hosted by Gold Coast Hospital Emergency Care Research, showcased an array of collaborative and innovative emergency care related research programs.

Prof Kinner presented on Acute health service use and incarceration: a public health perspective and Dr Young presented on Dual diagnosis of mental illness and substance use disorder: associated burden and implications for emergency care, both as part of the research pillar on vulnerable populations.
