Melissa Willoughby, Claire Keen, Dr Rohan Borschmann and Prof Stuart Kinner from the Justice Health Unit are leading a team of University of Melbourne-based researchers including Dr Diana Johns, Dr Piers Gooding, David Gallant, and collaborators from the Youth Support and Advocacy Service (YSAS), who successfully applied for Melbourne Social Equity Institute seed funding for the project Preventing violence against young women exposed to the criminal justice system. This co-developed project will synthesise the literature and conduct a delphi study to develop recommendations for violence prevention programs for justice-involved young women.
This project is one of seven funded by the Melbourne Social Equity Institute to support interdisciplinary research for fairer societies. For more information, click here and for any inquiries, contact Mel Willoughby.
