Emily Cheesman

Research Fellow

Emily is a Research Fellow in the Indigenous Studies Unit, working primarily with the Agreements, Treaties and Negotiated Settlements team, focusing on Indigenous agreement-making in Australia and internationally. Emily has a Bachelor of Arts/Laws (Hons) from the University of Melbourne and graduate qualifications in legal practice and public relations. Emily is currently studying a Master of Occupational Therapy (Swinburne) and PhD in Law (University of Melbourne, deferred).

Emily has a background in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child and family welfare policy, public health policy and strategic philanthropy.
