Improving HASS and Indigenous research infrastructure

Minister for Education Dan Tehan has announced that the Morrison Government is investing in research infrastructure to support improved management and use of Indigenous data collections.

The Minister's press release states that "the Government will provide $8.9 million to create a data network that will transform how Australian social and cultural data is accessed, curated and analysed. The project will support the development of eResearch platforms and tools for visualisation, transcription and entity recognition."

The IDN looks forward to further announcements from the Minister in relation to this important Commonwealth investment.
