Join the Climate Superpowers team - August 2026
We're looking for someone to join the Climate Superpowers initiative in the University of Melbourne's Disaster, Climate and Adversity Unit — approximately 0.4 FTE for 6 months, with flexibility and potential to extend.
Climate Superpowers is a set of free, strengths-based resources co-designed with young people and teachers to support climate wellbeing and action in schools, and response from teachers and students has been enthusiastic.
Our current project, Embedding Climate Superpowers, goes beyond dissemination: it's about understanding how to achieve real, lasting uptake — finding the right partners, testing implementation models, and building the foundations for this initiative to grow and sustain itself into the future. The role involves sharing the resources with teachers, schools and partner organisations, conducting discovery interviews across the education, health and sustainability sectors, and supporting related research and resource development.
We're hoping to find an existing University of Melbourne staff member — academic (Level A or B) or professional — who is passionate about the intersection of environment, education and wellbeing, and who would relish the opportunity to help take this exciting initiative to the next level.
If this sounds like you, please get in touch with Phoebe Quinn at phoebeq@unimelb.edu.au.
