Dr Jesse Young shortlisted for 2020 Premier's Award

Justice Health Unit’s Dr Jesse Young has been selected as a finalist for the 2020 Premier's Awards for Health and Medical Research.  These awards recognise the exceptional contributions and capabilities of Victoria's emerging early career researchers in their PhD studies.

Jesse’s research aims to improve the health of people with pre-existing mental disorders after release from prison.  Click here for the 2020 Premier’s Awards Finalists announcement and for more information about Jesse’s research.

Category award winners receive $5,000 each and the overall Excellence Award winner receives an additional $15,000.

The awards ceremony that was due to be held on 23 March 2020 has been cancelled due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). A future event is currently in planning where the winners will be announced.
