Congratulations to Ms Kerryn Moore from our Centre for Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Winner of the Excellence Award as well as Winner of the Public Health Award of the prestigious 2018 Premier’s for Health and Medical Research. Read the official announcement.

Kerryn recently completed her PhD under the supervision of Professor Julie Simpson (Centre for Epidemiology & Biostatistics), A/Professor Freya Fowkes (Burnet Institute) and Professor Rose McGready (Shoklo Malaria Research Unit). The Premier’s Awards for Health and Medical Research is awarded annually to recognise the exceptional contributions made by early career health and medical researchers in their PhD studies. This year the Premier’s Awards were expanded to include four category awards (Public Health, Basic Science, Clinical, and Health Services). Category award winners received $5,000 each and the overall Excellence Award winner received an additional $15,000.
