Development of New Strategies for Targeting Vaccine Hesitant Parents in Victoria – a Vaccine Education and Communication Training program for Paediatricians

Project Details

We are conducting hospital, antenatal and post-natal community surveys to better understand parental vaccine attitudes, behaviours and concerns and what the key predictors to vaccine acceptance may be. A national survey of paediatricians is also being acrried out to understand their interest in engaging with vaccine hesitant families and in further education and training, particularly online. This will lead to an innovative vaccine education and communication training program for healthcare providers, particularly paediatricians.
