Dr Bridget Pratt

Research Fellow

Bridget was at the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics and Bloomberg School of Public Health in the US before joining the Nossal Institute. She’s an expert in the ethics of international research and health systems research, with a focus on global and social justice. Bridget is Vice-Chair of the Health Systems Global Ethics Thematic Working Group.

She has a B.Sc. in Biology and Psychology from Haverford College in the US, a Masters in International Health and a PhD in international research ethics from Monash University.

Bridget’s goal is to help researchers and funders structure research and funding programs to promote social justice and health equity. She likes taking philosophical concepts and working out what they mean for research on the ground. She knows she’s making a difference when ethicists and researchers use her work in their own teaching and research.
