Health Economics Unit Hosts Our First Visiting Scholar

""

Our Unit had the pleasure of hosting Dr Braden Te Ao from Auckland University of Technology (AUT) last week who was visiting the Centre for Health Policy at the University of Melbourne on our Visiting Health Economics Scholar Program. Dr Te Ao was here to share his recent work on estimating the economic cost of traumatic brain injury in New Zealand, including lessons learnt from conducting cost-of-illness studies and implications for healthcare policy. During his visit, he had the opportunity to explore research projects and interests with members of the Health Economics Unit and concluded his visit with a presentation titled “Bump on the head: Are mild brain injuries really a “low cost” problem?".
