NEJM publication: Nasal High-Flow Therapy for Primary Respiratory Support in Preterm Infants

Health Economics Unit staff member Dr. Kim Dalziel, together with clinicians from Australia and Norway, published a recent article in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM). Their study, using data from an international multi-centre randomized trial, showed that high flow therapy resulted in a significantly higher rate of treatment failure than did CPAP when used as primary support for preterm infants with respiratory distress.

Health Economics Unit staff member Dr. Li Huang is also involved in the project and is acknowledged as one of the trial Health Economists.
