The Nossal Institute for Global Health's vision is for a better future through advances in global health. We support, in partnership, improvements in the health of vulnerable communities through research, education and inclusive development practice. Our work covers five broad areas:
- Inclusive Health and Development
- Governance and Financing
- Maternal and Reproductive Health Unit
- Education and Learning
- Business Development and Management
The global activities of the Nossal Institute for Global Health focus on priority areas in Asia–Pacific and Southern Africa, with most work taking place in India, Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Papua New Guinea and Mozambique.
The Nossal Institute for Global Health is named in honour of Sir Gustav Nossal and his commitment to translating medical research into health for all.
It was established in 2006 (and inclusive of the work and activities of the Nossal Institute Limited, which was incorporated in 1998), to advocate for the public health of vulnerable communities.
